I Meant to Vote for You...

Vote by Mail: A New Concept for Most Voters

Can you imagine waking up the morning after your Primary Election, only to discover you lost by a few dozen votes?

Your supporters MEANT to vote for you. They liked your campaign and your issues, but the ballot was confusing, the rules were unclear, and they had no idea when the ballot had to be in the mail.

If you want to avoid this sad state of affairs, then let’s talk!

June primaries are approaching quickly! Not only is this an unprecedented time in our daily lives, but we are in a whole new territory when it comes to absentee voting.

Many states are changing absentee ballot regulations and requirements! Some states have mailed an absentee ballot request to EVERY voter. Others have changed the rules on who may vote by mail and changed deadlines.

Many voters for June 2 and June 9 primaries already have their absentee ballot in hand, and they need to know how to fill out and return their ballot to be counted.

CampaignHQ can help you accomplish these goals and inform your voters!

Step 1: How to Vote by Mail

Automated messages to landlines and conTEXT messages to cell phones can help you cost-effectively reach your voting audience and inform them how to vote by mail. An automated call from you or a trusted member of the community can walk a voter through how to properly select YOUR name on the paper ballot and return in with the proper postmark.

CampaignHQ can also send peer to peer text messages to mobile phones, including an image of a sample ballot and a link to their county election commission’s website in case they have questions!

Step 2: Return Your Absentee Ballot

Absentee chase calls and texts are more crucial than ever, especially for candidates running in contested June primaries.

For most voters, the June primary is not the primary focus of their everyday life. A voter may fill out their ballot and have it sit on their kitchen counter, not realizing the postmark deadline was 2 days ago. Because not all people think like candidates and consultants about the election, it is important to remind them to have their ballots postmarked by the correct date and keep reminding them until that ballot is returned!

CampaignHQ can help with GOTV calls and texts! Simply send us a list and we can separate your voters by landlines and cells, draft a script and an image for a conTEXT message, and send out your message!
